OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
The Volunteer Coordinator will manage, build, and strengthen relationships with volunteers and parishes in the St. Louis area.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE :
Volunteers 60%
Responsible for volunteer program agency wide including, recruitment, orientation, assignment, record-keeping, supervision, recognition events and volunteer portion of the agency newsletter
Work with outside groups for one-time volunteer projects
Ensure compliance with volunteer standards set by CRSS, United Way and COA
External Relationships 30%
Manage, implement and coordinate parish engagement opportunities in partnership with CRSS and Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis (CCSTL)
Coordinate speaker series for parishes
Host on-campus volunteer events to engage parishioners in the CRSS mission
General 10%
Support and maintain the vision and mission of CRSS and CCSTL
Ensure personal accountability for meeting deadlines and responding to volunteers, vendors and other department requests
Work with a high level of confidentiality and integrity
Support Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of St. Louis as requested
Assist with other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree required
Volunteer management experience preferred
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Database management (preferably Raiser’s Edge), including but not limited to CRM and spreadsheets
SKILLS & REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS IN JOB
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organizational skills paperwork as well as juggling multiple tasks with deadlines)
Capable of researching and understanding various opportunities
Ability to work flexible hours for volunteer projects
Able to work to meet deadlines
Ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple projects
Ability to maintain confidentiality
