Water Resources Engineers and Hydrogeologists
We are seeking talented Water Resources Engineers and Hydrogeologists to join our team for various water-related projects.
The ideal candidates will support clients throughout California and Washington from project inception through to completion.
Key Responsibilities :
- Project Involvement : Engage in all project phases, including planning, feasibility analysis, design, implementation, and completion.
- Project Types : Work on projects such as SGMA compliance, groundwater basin characterization, water budgets, groundwater-flow and constituent transport modeling, water transfer support, water supply planning, production well design, potable reuse planning, and litigation support.
- Team Collaboration : Collaborate with engineers and scientists to develop hydrogeologic models, prepare comprehensive reports and studies, and effectively communicate complex technical issues.
- Project Management Support : Assist project managers and senior staff with scheduling, budget tracking, deliverables, and progress reporting.
Required Skills :
- Technical Expertise : Proficiency in groundwater modeling, water resources planning, data management, and technical writing.
- Software Skills : Experience with ArcGIS, Python, and MODFLOW.
- Field Knowledge : Background in environmental engineering, civil engineering, hydrology, geology, earth science, and hydrogeology. Top Skills :

Additional Qualifications :
- Experience : A minimum of 2 years of experience is required, with 5 or more years being desirable. This experience should be as an engineer, planner, or hydrogeologist working on water resources projects.
- Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with California groundwater regulations is essential. This includes understanding the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA), the Urban Water Management Planning Act, and Senate Bill 610 requirements.
- Communication Skills : Effective communication, both written and oral, is crucial. You’ll need to convey complex technical information to diverse audiences.
- Project Collaboration : Ability to multitask, stay organized, work independently, and collaborate with various project teams.
- Educational Background : A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Hydrology, Geology, Earth Sciences, or a related field is necessary.
- Software Proficiency : Experience with tools such as ArcGIS, MODFLOW, Python, R, MODFLOW6, IWFM, PEST, and Microsoft Access is preferred.
- Driver’s License : A valid driver’s license is required.
