ASRC Federal Technical Services is seeking a Technical Writer to join our team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
This role will make an impact by meeting the future needs of our FAA customer that includes securing data across networks in the enterprise.
SUMMARY :
We are looking for an experienced Technical Writer to produce high quality documentation that contributes to the overall success of our RMLS applications.
The successful candidate will be working collaboratively with Developers, Product Owners, Product Managers to interpret technical information into seamless products for applicable audiences.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Must have experience with Microsoft Office software products
- Knowledge and experience working under agile methodology
- Responsible for working with agile teams to obtain in-depth understanding of the application requirements
- Develop, write, and edit, standardize technical material for reports, manuals, instruction books and related technical and administrative publications concerning work methods and procedures
- Provides documentation from concept and design to development and final review
- Creates documentation for a variety of work products, including technical reports, user guides, operations manuals, hardware descriptions, training material, and briefings
- Create videos to help end users understand application features.
Highly Desired Skills :
- Proven working experience in writing technical documentation
- Ability to deliver high quality documentation paying attention to detail
- Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and document them easily understandable in text and pictures
- May create graphical images, flow charts, and diagrams for inclusion in documentation and presentations. Assist stakeholders in defining documentation requirements

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Associates degree and ten (10) years of related work experience.
OR Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of eight (8) years of related work experience
- Ability to adapt to an agile environment
- Excellent writing and verbal skills
- Excellent customer relations skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and be willing to work together in support of team goals.
Preferred
Possess knowledge and experience in FAA documentation control, formats, conventions, and terms used for the production of System Support Directives, Handbooks, Notices and other documentation required to support the NAS and NAS supporting systems.

Security :
- US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US
- Has been living in the US for at least the past 3 years
