Description
The Senior Technical / Graphics Specialist provides advanced document processing services and general support, creating a variety of documents and materials using advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and other firm supported software.
The person in this role should be certified in a variety of firm software applications and have proficiency with a variety of graphic design and marketing programs.
- Responsibilities include using design software to create various marketing and other firm-branded materials; designing and implementing on-line promotional projects and on-line media;
- creating templates in various programs for use by marketing and other departments; creating and assembling client pitch materials;
and assisting with more difficult and complex production assignments.
The person in this position will also respond to inquiries regarding status of projects, answer routine and complex questions regarding basic applications, train and mentor the technical and document production specialists, and assist the IT department in answering routine and complex help desk questions.
Candidate will have a minimum of 7 years’ progressive experience working in a graphic design environment, with a degree in Graphic Design preferred, and will have certification as a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) with the ability to implement design solutions across the Microsoft Office Suite.
Candidate should have advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word (troubleshooting non-standard documents, preparing tables of contents and tables of authorities, setting up and running mail merges), Excel (setting up spreadsheets, writing standard and complex formulas, complex formatting and setting printing parameters) and PowerPoint (formatting presentations using templates and standards, analyzing and resolving technical issues).
Candidate should have expertise with advanced functions of Adobe Acrobat; InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere and Dreamweaver, Microsoft PowerPoint and Visio, knowledge of HTML, and proficiency with several of the following software programs : AIA, Olympus Transcription Software, DocXtools Expert, OmniPage, document production tracking software programs, and ChangePro.
- Other requirements include accurate and proficient typing skills (minimum of 75 words per minute preferred); the ability to function in a high production environment;
- the ability to produce accurate work product with minimum revision; the ability to work in a team environment with a standard organized workflow, excellent proofreading skills;
and a high level of technical aptitude and graphic creativity.
Candidate should have the ability to anticipate issues and opportunities and address them with limited to no supervision;
the ability to analyze tasks in order to organize, prioritize and handle multiple projects; strong customer service and communication skills, and flexibility to handle any tasks that are needed, maintain a flexible work schedule and work overtime as needed.
