What you'll do...

As a Software Engineer III on the Sam's Membership team, your role will involve transforming requirements into practical solutions through coding, fostering collaboration across diverse teams, and offering strategic insights to drive innovation.

About Team :

The Sam's Membership team is responsible to deliver an omni channel experience for our members by supporting all member related functions.

We are a team of software engineers whose strengths include (1) collaborating with cross-functional partners to design and build complex, scale-ready solutions, (2) testing for reliability and resiliency, and (3) ensuring quality through operational excellence.

What you'll do :

• Build scalable systems with high availability.
• Participate in small to large sized projects by reviewing project requirements into technical solutions; gather requested information (for example, design documents, product requirements,);
• write and develop code; conduct unit testing; communicate status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborate with project teams and cross functional teams;

troubleshoot open issues and bug-fixes; and ensure on-time delivery and hand-offs.

• Troubleshoot business and production issues by gathering information (for example, issue, impact, criticality, possible root cause), engage support teams to assist in resolution of issues, formulate an action plan, performing actions as designated in plan, interpret the results to determine further action, and complete online documentation.
• Develop applications and interfaces supporting REST and Graphql using Java and Spring Boot.
• Assist with the designs and development of systems and methods in order to ensure the quality and guide the product through all stages of user acceptance process.

What you'll bring :

• Experience with programming in Java, Spring Boot, Spark.
• Experience implementing software testing including unit tests and integration tests.
• Familiarity with Azure cloud services and infrastructure
• Experience in using SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with implementing and maintaining CICD pipelines.
• Strong focus on Operation Excellence.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proactive and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of the full software development life cycle

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Option 1 : Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

Option 2 : 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
