This is a full-time hybrid position working out of our Reston offices (2 days in office, 3 days from home).

FP&A Duties

  • Assist in the maintenance & creation of the annual budgeting process which includes quarterly forecasting as well as providing support to corporate organizations
  • Support timely and accurate completion of consolidated financial plans and monthly / quarterly forecasts
  • Perform corporate FP&A functions including analyzing & forecasting indirect (Opex) expenses
  • Work with corporate leaders to understand the operating expenses (Opex) of the business and help manage spending across the organization
  • Perform detailed reporting & analysis of monthly financial information, compare budget and actual costs, prepare financial KPIs and support the month-end close process
  • Develop financial controls, procedures, systems and forecasting techniques to evaluate contract / program status and ensure compliance with government and customer requirements
  • Work with program managers to document contract performance to date, complete monthly ETC and EAC projections and provide forecast inputs of revenue and gross margin by project
  • Responsibilities include budgeting & forecasting, managing program funding needs, as well as analysis of all contract cost and financial data.
  • Communicating key business insights and recommendations to achieve the company or a program's current and future goals and making specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit / process improvements
  • Ability to breakdown & explain complex financial analysis to key stakeholders in the organization
  • Ability to create and lead presentations of various financial metrics & financial modeling to senior leadership in the organization
  • Responsible for all key internal & external financial reporting across the enterprise

Pricing Duties

  • Lead pricing efforts of all sizes and complexities, with visibility at all levels of the organization
  • Participate in strategy sessions and color team reviews as needed
  • Develop and prepare cost / price proposals in response to RFP requirements, and comply with all Government policies and regulations and internal documented procedures
  • Work closely with Capture Teams, Operations, Contracts, Finance and Proposal Development to ensure the cost / price proposal is professional, accurate, competitive, and profitable
  • Prepare detailed cost / price briefings to senior leadership, to include RFP pricing requirements / evaluation criteria, pricing strategies, and key financial metrics
  • Develop pricing templates and Excel-based models to evaluate different strategies and what-if scenarios
  • Perform ongoing industry and competitive analyses on costs, price trends, and historical bid prices for relevant proposals
  • Conduct margin analysis as relevant to aid in decision making and reporting to internal teams
  • Support process improvement initiatives to drive efficiencies and innovation

Basic Qualifications

  • 4 years of finance experience in the government contracting (or related) industry
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 2 years of experience with Deltek Costpoint 8.X
  • 3 years of experience with MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS products
  • 2 years of Corporate FP&A background or program finance background
  • 6 months of pricing experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6 years of finance experience in the government contracting (or related) industry
  • Bachelor's degree in finance
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical background
  • 2+ years' experience using Deltek Costpoint 8.X
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS products
  • 5 years' experience in a Corporate FP&A role or 5+ years program finance background
  • 2 years pricing experience
