Role summary : We have an immediate need for an Electronic Systems Technician on 2nd shift

What You Will Do

• Reads and interprets board layouts, schematics and BOMs
• Tests faulty equipment and applies knowledge of functional operation of electronics to diagnose causes of the malfunction and repair
• Adjusts, modifies and repairs electronic systems, works from sketches, layouts, and diagrams
• Recommend changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance
• Maintains electric and electronic test equipment
• Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions
• Disassemble manual equipment and replace it with new or repaired parts
• Uses hand tools, power tools, and simple machine tools to repair manufacturing equipment
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on manufacturing equipment
• Perform General Maintenance duties as needed
• Perform system calibrations and recordings

In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to internal candidates (and recall) within Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).

Role Type

This role is Onsite : employees will work primarily onsite. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
