The Research and Development group within FORTNA focuses on novel approaches to Robotics within the material handling sector.
R&D is seeking an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join the Computer Vision group. The group is focused on computer vision applied to physical systems of its rapidly growing product line.
You will focus on creating robust multi-sensor fusion systems, enhancing the capabilities of our robots through advanced computer vision techniques.
Responsibilities include :
- Develop new computer vision and robotics algorithms for pick and place robots.
- Develop and optimize deep learning algorithms for multi-camera and multi-sensor integration to achieve accurate real-time sensing and decision-making.
- Develop, Train and Test various Neural Network (NN) architectures along with novel implementations.
- Developing computer vision solutions for generating 3D synthetic data for simulation environments as well as for self-supervised learning approaches.
- Develop and deploy newly trained models on real-world robotic platforms with state-of-the-art inference pipelines.
- Stay up to date with the latest developments in machine learning, computer vision, and robotics, integrating novel ideas and technologies into our systems.
- Optimize models for speed and accuracy.
- Maintain and improve existing machine learning infrastructure, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
Required Qualifications :
- Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field.
- Strong linear algebra, 3D Geometry, Probability and Statistics Knowledge.
- Proven expertise in machine learning, especially in computer vision and sensor fusion applications.
- 2-5 years of experience with Learning based Computer Vision / Robotics approaches.
- Experience with NVIDIA TensorRT or similar deployment tools.
- Knowledge of OpenCV, PCL and CUDA.
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python or C++ and machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
Preferred Skills :
- Publications or a significant track record in relevant fields.
- Experience working with 3D Data.
- Experience working with sensor fusion and multi camera systems.
- Experience working on self-supervised learning approaches.
- Experience with edge computing devices and optimization for low-power systems.
The base salary range for this role is $97,800 to $146,700. This base salary range represents the low and high end of the base salary range for this position.
Actual base salary offered will vary based on various factors including but not limited to location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and performance.
