Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Civil Project Engineer experienced with water resources and / or transportation related projects for an opening in our Sacramento, CA office.

In this role you’ll have the opportunity to work on flood protection and design of a new off-stream storage dam in Northern California.

Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to :

  • Providing technical support to water infrastructure projects including : design, analysis, inspection, construction observation, and regulatory compliance activities
  • Development of plans, specifications, and construction estimates.
  • Collaborate with teams for analysis for dams, reservoirs, levees, canals, tunnels, pipelines, flood protection systems, and conveyance facilities.
  • Preparation of technical reports, memos, and engineering design and construction related documents.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and / or education
  • California Professional Engineering (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with Caltrans or other DOT transportation projects
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering
  • Experience with CADD i.e. Civil 3D and Microstation Open Roads
  • Experience with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, HY-8 modeling software preferred
