Position Summary :
The Mail & Receiving Services is the primary receiving point for all US mail, campus mail, and goods purchased through Procurement.
Delivery staff will safely drive to campus and maneuver around campus throughout the day. Unload heavy items from the vehicles using hand trucks, electric and manual pallet jacks.
Obtain a signature for all delivered supplies and material or certified mail. Turnaround time is of the essence to ensure efficient and effective delivery of essential mail, supplies, and materials.
Drivers will provide quality customer service to customers during the delivery process.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and / or Competencies :
Knowledge of campus and knowledge of each building to access designated delivery locations.
Physical Demands :
- Maneuver a vehicle around campus.
- Climb stairs.
- Walk / stand / sit / drive for long periods of time.
- Lift up to 40lbs.
- Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Duties / Responsibilities :
- Review purchase order receipts and mail to determine the best methodology for loading a delivery truck.
- Safely drive in and out of building delivery docks or designated delivery locations.
- Drop shipments and obtain signature for all receipts.
- Take mail to the appropriate personnel of each building.
- Accuracy is essential to ensure supplies, material, and mail arrives at the appropriate academic, research, and administrative departments on campus in a timely manner.
