Compensation : $60,000 - $110,000 + Annual Bonus + Long-term incentive bonus

Highly successful community solar developer with global impact. Development experts and activists working to combat climate change through renewable energy generation with a unique emphasis and passion for preserving the environment they work on.

Role and responsibilities :

  • Manage the entire NEPA and SEQRA process for renewable energy production and storage projects, including feasibility studies and environmental surveying.
  • Oversee local zoning and land use permitting procedures, coordinating with Town Boards, Planning Boards, and Zoning Boards to secure necessary approvals.
  • Conduct critical issues analysis and manage environmental studies required at local, state, and federal levels.
  • Perform site assessments to evaluate field conditions and participate in occasional evening meetings with travel.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including landowners, utilities, contractors, consultants, and government officials, to ensure projects align with both economic and ecological sustainability goals.
  • Utilize IT tools, including GIS, for site development and public presentations to support the environmental services provided.
  • Enhance existing environmental capabilities and expand project site presence through independent effort and teamwork within a remote or hybrid work environment.

Requirements and Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelors or higher degree with a strong academic record in environmental sciences, natural sciences, engineering, planning, or a related discipline from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of two years of applicable experience in project management, environmental permitting, or real estate development, ideally related to renewable or conventional energy development.
  • Demonstrated technical competence and project experience in natural resource fields applicable to energy generation or transmission siting and environmental permitting.
  • Proven ability to effectively engage with industry, government, and public stakeholders on project-related matters.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for developing and maintaining relationships.
