OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Catering Sales Manager .
What will you be doing most days?
- Solicit new accounts and maintain and strengthen relationships with existing accounts
- Generate a minimum of 50 calls weekly encompassing telemarketing, site inspections, and outside field calls with weekly documentation
- Responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing
- Meet with or call individual, corporate, and social clients by telephone to solicit annual, weekday, and weekend business
- Meet with clients and conduct a professional, thorough site inspection of the hotel with them exhibiting the key features and benefits of the hotel
- Develop and conduct persuasive verbal sales presentations to prospective clients
- Develop client menus, write contracts and letters, as well as, organize all other arrangements as they relate to social and corporate events
- Work to continuous meet or exceed sales goals
- Supervise and attend the overall set up and implementation of events and meetings
- Take full ownership of all functions such as processing payment
- Provide prompt guest service and timely follow up with prospective clients
- Participate as a team player with other key leaders and demonstrate hospitable behavior as a role model for all other team members
- Develop full working knowledge of the operations of the Conference Center, including Food and Beverage Department, Guest Services, and Housekeeping

Physical Requirements for this Position
This is primarily a sedentary role; however, at times it can be a physically demanding position. You must be comfortable standing, sitting, walking, bending, lifting, and squatting for extended periods of time.
Travel Requirements
Minimal, occasional travel outside the local area.
