Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to lead and expand our door-to-door sales operations. The RSM will be responsible for building and managing high-performing sales teams across designated markets, driving significant growth in our residential client base.

This role is pivotal in achieving our ambitious goal of acquiring new, active, and recurring residential customers each year through strategic door-to-door marketing initiatives aligned with growth metrics.

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will report directly to the VP, Revenue. In collaboration with the VP, the RSM will work on integrating door-to-door sales efforts with digital marketing, cloverleafing, and leadline strategies to enhance our door-to-door campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Team Building and Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage door-to-door sales teams in each identified market.
  • Foster a culture of excellence, motivation, and continuous improvement within the sales teams.

Sales Strategy and Execution

  • Develop and implement effective door-to-door sales strategies to achieve and exceed sales targets.
  • Oversee sales activities to ensure each team member achieves a minimum of 20 sales and services per month.
  • Monitor market trends and adjust strategies to maintain a competitive edge.

Training and Development

  • Coordinate licensing and certification processes for sales team members to both sell and service in their respective markets.
  • Provide ongoing training to enhance the skills and performance of the sales teams.
  • Ensure sales representatives are equipped to perform initial service at the time of the initial sale.

Performance Management

  • Set clear performance expectations and KPIs for sales teams.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

Compliance and Reporting

  • Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales performance and report to senior management.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Operations Manager to align sales objectives with operational capabilities.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

Client Base Growth

Achieve a minimum of 750 new, active, and recurring residential customers annually through door-to-door sales efforts.

Team Expansion

Successfully build a door-to-door sales team with at least 11 full-time sales representatives by the end of Nov 2024 and 18 by EOY.

Individual Sales Performance

Ensure each sales team member consistently achieves at least 20 sales and services per month.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in door-to-door sales management.
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams.
  • Experience in the pest control industry is a plus.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.

Licenses and Certifications

  • Ability to obtain necessary pest control sales and service licenses in assigned markets.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

Base Salary

Negotiated base salary commensurate with experience.

Commission Structure

  • Eligible for a 1% commission on the year-one, pre-tax contract value of all sales made by the Lead Door-to-Door Salesmen and Door-to-Door Salesmen under your supervision.
  • Additional commission of 0.2% for every 1% below a 55% commission payout threshold, based on blended average calculations per pay period.
  • 160 - 220 OTE
