Week without Saturday shift : Monday - Friday 7 : 00AM - 11 : 00AM.
Week with Saturday shift : 3 days 7 : 00AM - 11 : 45AM and Saturday 7 : 30AM - 1 : 30PM.
Work every 4 th Saturday.
Flexible start time required based on operational need.

We are seeking a Specimen Control and Receiving Tech - Eastpark Medical Center Lab to :
- Receive specimens and research kits into the laboratory , check for correct labeling, enter tests into Laboratory Information System, process specimens, and load them onto instruments or direct to appropriate work station, technologist, or storage area.
- Basic instrument maintenance (temperatures, monitoring reagents) and clerical duties (filing, mailing, faxing).
- Interact daily with pathologists, physicians, technologists, clinical staff, nursing unit personnel, and patients. At UW Health, you will have :

Education : Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent. Preferred - Some post-secondary education in a healthcare or a related science field that may include course work in Medical Laboratory Technician, Cytotechnologist, Histotechnician or Medical Laboratory Scientist degree / certification.
