Job Summary :

As Director of the Center for Executive Education, you will play a pivotal role in leading the development, implementation, and management of our executive education programs.

Reporting to the Dean of the Business School, you will be designing curriculum, cultivating corporate partnerships, overseeing program delivery, and ensuring exceptional learning experiences for our executive participants.

Essential Functions :

Curriculum Development : Collaborate with faculty members and industry experts to design innovative executive education programs that address the evolving needs of senior executives and business leaders.

Program Management : Oversee all aspects of program delivery, including scheduling, logistics, faculty selection, and participant engagement, to ensure programs run smoothly and meet high-quality standards.

Corporate Engagement : Develop and nurture relationships with corporate clients and key stakeholders to understand their professional development needs and tailor executive education solutions accordingly.

Marketing and Promotion : Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective strategies for promoting executive education programs, enhancing brand visibility, and attracting top-tier participants.

Financial Management : Develop and manage the budget for executive education programs, ensuring financial sustainability while maximizing revenue generation and cost-efficiency.

Quality Assurance : Implement rigorous assessment mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness, gather participant feedback, and continuously improve program content and delivery.

Market Research : Stay abreast of industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging best practices in executive education to inform strategic decision-making and program development.

Competencies :

Proven track record of successfully designing, launching, and managing executive education programs that meet the needs of senior executives and corporate clients.

Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of key industry sectors, corporate training needs, and market dynamics.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Demonstrated leadership capabilities with experience leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals.

Strategic mindset with the ability to think creatively, anticipate market trends, and develop innovative solutions to address emerging challenges.

Proficiency in project management, budgeting, and financial analysis.

Commitment to upholding the highest standards of academic excellence, integrity, and professionalism.

Strong interest and passion for engagement with a diverse array of students.

Live within commuting distance to St. John’s Queens and Manhattan campuses.

Senior Associate Director of Corporate and Industry Relations.

Work Environment :

This position operates in a professional office environment with the ability to handle confidential matters. It requires using a desktop computer, photocopier, and fax machine.

Physical Demands :

While performing this job, the employee will be sitting and occasionally may be required to stand at events; move about;

sit; climb stairs; and communicate.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work :

This position is full-time : Monday through Thursday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. and Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. to 3 : 00 p.m.

Required Education and Experience :

Bachelor’s Degree in related field.

Extensive experience (7+ years) in executive education or academic program management, preferably within a reputable business school or executive education provider.

Preferred Education and Experience :

Master's degree in business administration, education, or a related field.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual salary range for this position is $111,000 - $121,000. St. John’s University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education / training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

This position may be relocated to any of St. John’s University’s physical locations at any time.
