Summary :
Supports Director or Chair by organizing, coordinating and performing a variety of secretarial and administrative tasks in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Assists with project management and overall organization of assigned office.
Minimum Education :
High school level course work in English grammar, composition, and basic mathematics
Minimum Work Experience :
Three (3) to five (5) years' advanced secretarial experience required that has included intermediate level word processing and coordination of various projects and deadlines.
Required Skills Knowledge :
a. Typing proficiency of 50 wpm with accuracy must pass Microsoft Office applications skills assessment (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
b. Knowledge of medical terminology
c. Proficient use of spreadsheets and presentation programs; ability to acquire skills in the utilization of additional personal computer applications as required by position
d. Ability to work independently on assigned tasks, referring special problems and unusual circumstances to supervisor
e. Ability to manage time effectively, set priorities and display flexibility
f. Ability to perform and serve in a leadership role within a work in a team environment
g. Ability to communicate effectively in person, in writing and over the telephone
h. Population Specific Competency : Ability to effectively interact with populations of patients / customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
$21.33 / hr - $25.60 / hr
The salary range on this job posting / advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay.
