Job Description
Responsibilities
- The State Manager - Ohio works with distributor to build brands, maximize distribution, and coordinate programs across on premise, off premise, chain, Regional and National accounts;
- assigns and monitors volume goals with distributor; develops and agrees to appropriate KPIs with distributors; monitors results;
ensures retail pricing is consistent with brand strategies; develops and implements NBD programs; maximizes brand exposure through trade and promotional events.
Key responsibilities (job responsibilities may vary by state depending on regulatory and compliance standards for the state) :
Achieve volume objectives for the market brand state priorities. Use KPIs to ensure that execution standards are achieved.
Monitor results through the use of KPI tracking and reporting. Provide most current profitability updates to leadership on monthly market recaps.
Develop and implement volume and profit objectives for the current fiscal year.
Monitor and ensure that volume objectives are achieved in the market. Implement and monitor agreed upon KPIs with key distributors and retailers.
Update results, develop annual plans and review throughout the year to ensure achievement of the brand priorities.
Develop and implement agreed upon KPIs with key distributors to ensure they are focused on priorities for the market. Establish annual distribution objectives by size, customer and channel of trade.
Utilize distributor data through systems such as Diver, develop and implement programs which will ensure achievement of KPIs as well as establishing accountability for key accounts.
Identify, develop and propose strategic price increase opportunities throughout the year that are consistent with brand positioning strategies in the market.
Recommend pricing opportunities to leadership and communicate changes to the distributors and state agencies.
- Identify distributor and retailer key contacts to develop and build relationships with these key contacts.
- Provide retail level (on and off-premise) intelligence via quarterly reports regarding "hot brands" and emerging consumer behavior and consumption patterns.
Develop and implement seamless retail level integration / communication of new brand acquisitions.
- Follow the development plan established for career development and / or advancement for direct reports.
- Build brands, develop relationships, sell distribution, and coordinate programs with multi-state customers (chains and military) on and off premise.
Coordinate and communicate these activities across multiple Sazerac Divisions to ensure proper execution of the initiatives.
Qualifications / Requirements
MUST
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or related field
- Record of successful leadership managing direct reports
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in CPG or Alcohol Beverage industry
- Previous experience in distributor management and leading distributor teams
- Experience with Diver, Nielsen, IRI, iDig
- A valid driver's license
- Ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours (nights / weekends)
- Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Willingness to travel
- Proficiency in budgeting, planning and / or financial analysis experience
PREFERRED
- Brand Marketing or Trade Marketing experience
- National Accounts / Key Account experience (on and off premise)
- Control state experience

Placement within the salary range is calculated based upon years of directly relatable experience for the position.
The salary range refers to base salary only and does not include car allowance, annual bonus, fuel or cell phone reimbursement.
USD $125,000.00 / Yr.
USD $188,000.00 / Yr.
