Project Manager / Estimator

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accurately define project requirements
• Create job schedules
• Coordinate the delivery of tools and fabrication
• Identify and manage the personnel assigned to each project and track their labor efficiency
• Attend job progress meetings, initiate change orders and contract progress billings
• Estimate remaining "cost-to-complete" for monthly WIP reporting
• Manage day-to-day operations of assigned projects so that they are completed on time and on budget
• Work with clients to brainstorm creative solutions to their problems and to ensure their needs are met through our customized solutions
• Manage projects following established guidelines that ensure they are completed as efficiently as possible.
• Communicate with team members regarding project needs.
• Read and analyze job cost reports taking appropriate action as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from the senior management team in timely manner.
• Assist with collections as required.
• Learn and utilize the estimating software the company uses to complete on time and accurate estimates and change orders
• You are expected to put in the hours to ensure that your projects and estimates are always on track

• Seek out new opportunities and clients to assist in Division and Companywide growth
• We are always looking to grow and expand our service territory, so you may be required to travel and run projects out of town or state at times.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Will provide direct supervision to the individuals assigned to the projects being managed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• years’ experience in the plumbing or mechanical industry, working in sales, estimating, project management, and design is required.
• Experience with AutoDesk and ProCore is a plus.
• A degree from an accredited college or university is a plus.
• Considerable experience with Microsoft Office (, Word, Excel) applications is required.
• Ability to think strategically, make sound decisions, and produce accurate and timely results is required.
• Building positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees and management is required.

Operations of a computer, telephone, a hand calculator, and copiers / fax machine are required. Understanding advanced math (Calculus, Algebra, & Geometry), shop math, simple drawings, technical reports, technical instructions, financial reports, layout work, legal documents, simple memos, and business letters is required.

Writing or presenting simple memos, summaries, business letters, and technical reports is required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to commute to customer and company locations by land and air.
