ROI Services, LLC is supporting a rapidly growing small company in Huntsville, AL, who is currently seeking a detail-oriented Engineering Process Improvement Lead with Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) Certification to join our team working with NASA’s Engineering Process Group on software process improvement for Marshall Space Flight Center’s Flight and Ground Software Division projects.
Responsibilities and Duties :
- Develop, implement, and maintain CMMI processes and procedures in accordance with NASA’s NPR7150.2 document.
- Ensure compliance with all NASA Procedural Requirements (NPRs) and MSFC Procedural Requirements (MPRs) for all software process areas.
- Coordinate internal audits and readiness reviews to ensure compliance standards.
- Work closely with stakeholders to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality management.
- Provide expert guidance on process improvement initiatives and best practices.
- Conduct gap analyses to assess current processes against CMMI requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate staff on processes, practices, and compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams to ensure adherence to guidelines throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare documentation and reports for CMMI appraisals and assessments.
- Maintain (CMMI) Level 2 and 3 rating for Flight and Ground Software Division.
Requirements and Qualifications :
- US Citizenship required
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in software process improvement
- Strong understanding of CMMI models, practices, and standards
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience Preferred :
- Technical knowledge of Software Process Improvements and CMMI Appraisals
- Extensive knowledge of software engineering principles, processes, tools, and techniques
- Strong background in process improvement, quality assurance, and project management, particularly in the context of software and engineering projects
