Position Summary :

Sales Account Executive for Aetna’s Specialty Division (Dental / Vision / Accident / Critical Illness / Hospital Indemnity) covering (Central West) for the middle market segment (employer groups with 101-5,000 employees).

Act as strategic business partner to insurance broker and consultants to optimize the positioning of Aetna’s products and services and to attain profitability and membership objectives.

Develops and executes the sales process ensuring appropriate margins and customer / membership retention targets are achieved.

Assesses the competitive environment and develops sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and drive a competitive advantage.

Accountable for establishing and maintaining relationships with appropriate internal partners.

Ensure clients are kept informed of any regulatory issues and / or developing healthcare trends potentially impacting their benefits program strategy.

Works with clients to make certain that any changes resulting from this activity are appropriately addressed within the context of their business needs and employee benefits strategy.

Leads finalist presentations related to either new business or growth / cross sell opportunities on designated customers.

Required Qualifications :

2 to 7 years successful group insurance sales experience.

Must reside in Market (Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Nebraska, Colorado).

Must be able to travel in Market 50%

Active Life & Health Insurance Licenses

Preferred :

Located in Kansas city, St Louis, Denver or Omaha

Independently driven

Self-directed

Education :

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is :

$43,500.00 - $101,300.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.

The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
