This Business Services Coordinator position provides administrative support to the Department of Cell Biology and Physiology (CBP) by planning and carrying out daily work activities and responsibilities of the department, based on the priorities and judgment of the CBP Director of Research.
This position will work closely with the Director of Research to manage the daily workload, organizing duties based on the priorities and needs of the department, completing special projects / assignments, and being responsible for performing a variety of administrative duties.
This position will interact with all CBP faculty, students, research and administrative staff. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline;
or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience The selected candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The candidate must be able to work, to move between tasks continuously and carry out multiple duties and responsibilities at the same time.
This individual must be flexible, resourceful, and collaborative, yet able to work effectively with a high degree of independence.
Strong organizational skills and attentiveness to detail are essential for this role. A thorough knowledge of MS Office software including MS Word and MS Excel is required.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience The ideal candidate will be someone familiar with UNC financial systems such as Connect Carolina (PeopleSoft), InfoPorte, Ramses, and both Web Travel and Concur etc.
