John Knox Village is seeking an experienced and organized individual to act as our Network Administrator, this role functions as a technology support business partner to the organization.

You will enable intelligence collection, analysis, and sharing through innovative, robust, and secure IT capabilities.

This dynamic position must be a self-starter who can work independently as they maintain rapport with staff and residents by examining complaints, identifying solutions, suggesting improved methods, and recommending system improvements.

You will serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders, planning daily work schedule, investigating complaints, conducting tests, and resolving problems.

Keep personal equipment operating by troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs.

Help maintain current infrastructure, hardware and software inventory of all IT related equipment. Work with new IT staff / vendors to improve support operations.

We want to speak with individuals with an Associate's degree or certificate in Computer Science or IT and 5+ years' experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.

3+ years' experience on current network operating systems. An understanding of IT principles, an ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience, and a strong sense of discretion and confidentiality will be vital to this role.

A+ certification, Microsoft-certified IT professional certification, Cisco-certified network associate certification, and international information systems security certification consortium certification are a plus.

The successful candidate will be able to work independently and function as part of a team. Ability in working with LAN and WAN preferred as well as experience with network security.
