Sr. Technical Project Leader (Virtual/Remote)

The Sr. Technical Project Leader will be a crucial figure in overseeing data and architecture modernization initiatives. The role involves enhancing the development of multiple data ingestion pipelines into a cloud-hosted public health surveillance platform.

This position offers the opportunity to drive the successful modernization of public health systems and make a significant impact on public health data management and accessibility.

What you'll be doing :

• Lead the efforts in modernizing public health systems through cloud adoption, providing technical assistance, infrastructure coordination, and data ingestion pipelines from various public health data sources.
• Collaborate with program teams, enterprise cloud teams, and stakeholders to devise migration strategies and solution architecture designs, ensuring efficient provisioning of cloud resources.
• Deliver data modernization planning and technical assistance to various programs.
• Offer guidance and consultation on enterprise architecture to programs pursuing modernization initiatives.
• Identify optimal migration paths, which could include alternative hosting environments, platform shifts, or complete system redesigns.
• Design solution architectures while pinpointing suitable cloud resources and shared services.
• Simplify program requests for cloud resources in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) liaising with internal and external teams.
• Ensure the robustness and performance of data sources for programs onboarded, adhering to agreed service level agreements (SLAs).
• Aid in program management regarding resource governance, planning, and overall management.
• Develop governance strategies, policies, and procedures.
• Engage with stakeholders to guarantee compliance with cloud security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
• Construct comprehensive project plans detailing timelines, resource allocation, and budget considerations.
• Collaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful project execution.

What we're looking for :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of proven experience as a Technical Project Leader or Manager.
• In-depth understanding of cloud computing concepts, platforms, and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services).
• Proficient in enterprise architecture and solution design.
• Familiarity with cloud governance frameworks and best practices.
• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Preference for candidates in EST and CST zones.
