A leading nonprofit organization with a national presence of over 50 offices is seeking to expand its accounting team at the corporate office in Hoffman Estates.
As one of the largest organizations in its sector, we are experiencing rapid growth and are looking for skilled professionals to support our bookkeeping and accounting functions.
Responsibilities Include : Provided a variety of bookkeeping and accounting services to multiple locations.Accounting assistance, reconciliation, and analysis;
response / resolutionMaintain records of financial transactions by establishing accounts; posting transactionsMaintain subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions.
Manage month and quarter-end processes including bank reconciliations and preparing financial reports for management including cash flow reportsCommunicate and resolve issues in a timely manner regarding payments, payment amount discrepancies, accrual management, as well as any additional bookkeeping issues that may ariseAudit accounting records to verify accuracyCommunicate with employees and management to assist with scheduling and employee support if needed.
Experience Requirements : Intacct is our accounting program experience with Intacct is a BIG plus, but experience with QuickBooks, Peachtree or similar accounting packages is relevantProficiency in Excel financial modeling is requiredStrong attention to detailMinimum 5 years experience in accounting / bookkeeping including accounts payable and accounts receivable for small businessesStrong oral and written communication skillsA professional, positive attitude and ability to take initiative when the situation presents itselfExcellent prioritization skills and ability to self-manage and execute tasks with limited assistance / unassistedBS in Accounting or Business or 5 years relevant experience
