Engenium is thrilled to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Software Security Developer to join our team, Advanced Red Cyber program.
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the forefront of cybersecurity, creating innovative tools to bolster our Red Team assessments.
Our Red Teams simulate adversarial attacks to test and enhance protection strategies, pushing the boundaries of cybersecurity.

What You'll Do
- Innovate and Develop : Create cutting-edge tools, exploits, and code for red cyber operations. Conduct thorough open-source research on cyber vulnerabilities and exploit development.
- Code Review : Perform rigorous code reviews of offensive scripts and ensure they pass all approval processes.
- Enhance TTPs : Analyze operational Techniques, Tactics, and Procedures (TTPs), developing scripts to automate and improve processes, emulating adversarial threats and exploiting vulnerabilities.
- Documentation : Ensure safe and secure usage of tools by documenting according to Red Team policies.
- DevOps Integration : Support and conduct DevOps reviews of code for operational approval.
- Custom Exploits : Adapt and tailor proof of concept code for use in Command and Control (C2) tools.
- Tool Tuning : Enhance C2 tools to increase effectiveness and minimize detection likelihood.
- Rapid Response : Respond to urgent development requests, assembling and testing tailored tools within tight deadlines.
- Vulnerability Analysis : Understand and exploit common vulnerabilities, such as buffer overflows, use-after-free, and SQL injection.
- Adversary Emulation : Replicate offensive cyber tactics of potential adversaries to assess and protect against security threats.
- Cyber Operations : Conduct cyber operations against U.S. government entities to enhance cybersecurity, detect potential threats, and recommend mitigation strategies.
What We're Looking For
- Educational Background : Bachelor's Degree or relevant work experience.
- Reverse Engineering Expertise : Proficient in analyzing source code to develop tools or exploits.
- Programming Skills : Skilled in one or more programming languages (e.g., C, C++).
- Experience : 5-7+ years of related experience for Senior roles; 3+ years for Junior roles.
- Clearance : Top Secret Security Clearance required; TS / SCI Security Clearance preferred.
- Work Environment : Hybrid work schedule (4 days in office, 1 remote). Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally and endure varying conditions, including extreme weather.
