In the Software Quality Assurance Engineer role, you will be responsible for assisting in testing LendKey's Lending Services applications and improvements.

This includes developing test plans, mining and manipulating test data, scripting, and executing tests, front-line triage of issues found during execution, and retesting of defects through resolution.

You will be a member of LendKey’s quality assurance (QA) team initially assigned to the Lending Services development squad.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement QA best practices, strategies and contribute your learning to the broader technology team and aid in continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include :

  • Gain an understanding of the high-level component makeup of the Product and ensure the highest quality of the deliverables.
  • Analyze acceptance criteria to understand the full picture of the business value being delivered and collaborate with product owner and engineering to address gaps.
  • Participate in the software development lifecycle on the scrum team, providing input on requirements gathering, design reviews, QA estimates, create and review test cases to ensure full coverage and deliver quality each sprint.
  • Develop, document, and maintain the test data, data validation, end to end testing flows and maintain regression test suite.
  • Log defects detected by test execution, assign severity, and coordinate prioritization with the Product Owner.
  • Contribute to the improvement of quality assurance processes and testing methodologies.

Skills / What we are Looking For :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or relevant field preferred.
  • 4 or more years of proven experience in Software Testing.
  • Proficiency in using one or more of the following test management tools : qTest, HP ALM / QC, Zephyr, Microsoft Test Manager.
  • Solid knowledge of QA (Quality Assurance) testing methodologies and practices with a proven ability to write clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases that provide in depth coverage of functionality.
  • Experience with SQL (MYSQL preferred) and ability to write complex queries.
  • Experience with RPA / automated testing tools is a plus.
  • Knowledge of the Agile / Scrum development process is preferred.
  • Strong customer focus, excellent problem-solving skills, and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Aptitude for acquiring skills in existing and new products and an eagerness to learn and stay current in these skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a professional demeanor.

The full-time base salary range for this role in the United States is between $80,000 - $120,000 + bonus and / or commissions + equity + benefits.
