JOB DESCRIPTION

TMZ is looking for an experienced Human Resources Coordinator to join our HR team. The ideal Human Resources Coordinator candidate will be a hands-on, enthusiastic, self-starter who can effectively manage multiple priorities within a busy newsroom environment.

The HR Coordinator will be responsible for managing the onboarding and offboarding process, supporting recruitment, handling transactional matters, and fielding day-to-day HR inquiries.

Responsibilities :

• Provide HR administrative support to the Head of HR and Director of Talent Acquisition.
• Provide guidance to employees on HR policies, procedures, and benefits.
• Schedule interviews, candidate follow-ups, and conduct reference checks.
• Attend talent acquisition events as needed.
• Create and maintain job description library.
• Oversee intern check-ins and workshop schedule.
• Provide administrative assistance during performance review process.
• Manage HR database.
• Oversee and manage COVID-19 protocols.
• Coordinate and facilitate training as needed.
• Coordinate yearly employee Flu Shot Clinic.
• Other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements :

• Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 2 years' experience in HR or related field.
• Working knowledge of HR processes is required.
• Experience using Workday is required.
• Strong skills using Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in Talent Acquisition is a plus.
• Excellent judgment, integrity, and discretion involving confidential information.
• Strong phone and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to take initiative and work independently when needed.
• Ability to complete tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment (with quick turnaround).

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is : $21.

00-23.63 per hour for California. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
