The Manager of Wholesale Education supports the Education team in managing & coordinating education initiatives, training, & eventing, primarily focusing on the global Wholesale business.
This position will play a key role in driving the business with our internal & external wholesale partners by sharing deep product knowledge & passion for Glossiers approach to beauty.
This role requires excellence in high-touch training, content creation tailored to Wholesale, & facilitation in both brand & product knowledge.
A successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional project management skills, attention to detail, strong organization skills, creative thinking, & the ability to work collaboratively & with agility cross-functionally.
This role will report to the Director of Omnichannel Education.
Six Month Expectations
- Gain a deep understanding of :
- Brand : Glossier history, values, brand guidelines, & unique POV on beauty
- Product Knowledge : Product details, benefits, & techniques for existing product assortment & new launches
- Customer Engagement : Customer journeys, selling ceremony, clienteling, & CX engagement
- Lead the ongoing training for Field Wholesale teams; serve as their Education liaison
- Manage a calendar & strategy supporting continuous education to refresh & reinforce key training topics with existing team members across all channels
- Support key Wholesale activations to drive brand equity & product enthusiasm for new launches & existing product within wholesale teams & partners
- Support retailer-led timelines & calendars
- Support trainings virtually & in-person
- Assist in the field in key time frames
- Partner with internal & external Education teams on content creation & video production
- Partner with Marketing on operational needs of field team & wholesale education initiatives
- Drive acceleration of lo-fi video content creation for field team in-store training
Twelve+ Month Expectations
- Continued progress & growth in the initiatives listed above
- Develop training & education needs for retailer education events
- Support continual review & process / program improvements in Training & Education areas & proactively surface areas of improvement
- Support training strategies & programs for new field team hires & partners, new store openings, new markets, & new product launches
- Manage wholesale education & operations calendar
- Lead operational needs of field team & wholesale education initiatives
Qualifications
- 4+ years Education training experience
- Experience working with Sephora North America, Mecca and / or Space NK wholesale teams required
- Experience creating content for training purposes in-store, such as one sheets, retention quizzes, & training tools
- Experience with video content creation & editing expertise (shot & edited from phone)
- Self-starter, solution-minded, highly organized with keen attention to detail
- Ability to efficiently manage & prioritize multiple projects
- Understanding of effective education & training program practices in wholesale
- Understanding ot the in-store training experience for Beauty Advisors
- Experience creating & facilitating content across various mediums (in-person, virtual, LMS)
- Ability to develop strong relationships both internally & externally & work collaboratively
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Possesses enthusiasm, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, & a growth mindset
- A passion for the beauty industry & Glossiers unique approach
- Role based in NYC. Ability to travel as needed (less than 25% of the time)
In accordance with the applicable law, the following represents a good faith estimate of the minimum & maximum compensation range for this position :
- The estimated annual pay range for this role is $108K - $117K. There may be future opportunities for continued pay progression based on continued strong performance in the role.
- Full-time positions are also eligible for a competitive compensation & benefits package that include medical health insurance, 401K, equity in the form of Restricted Stock Units, Paid Time Off, Short Term & Long Term Disability leave, & a range of other benefits.
