Curriculum Operations Analyst
Administrative Analyst / Specialist - Exempt II

Salary Range : $5,273 - $9,537 / Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range : $5,273 - $6,339 / Monthly)
Work Schedule : Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8 : 00 . to 5 : 00 .; exempt classification.
Essential Functions : Under the general direction of the Associate Registrar for Academic Services (ADM II, Position), the Curriculum Operations Analyst serves the Academic Services unit as technical and quality assurance lead for enterprise student information system (PeopleSoft Campus Solutions aka GET) modules (Curriculum Management, Academic Advisement, Transfer Credit Rules, and third-party systems (Degree Planner, Series25, functionally managed by the unit in support of the curriculum.
The primary function of this position is to ensure ongoing academic curriculum and requirements operations are successfully maintained with minimal error, in compliance with academic policy and unit practices, and in support of the academic record and student experience.
- Examples of program administration duties include but are not limited to : analyzing narrative course and academic program description's and determining effective execution methods for Curriculum Management and Academic Advisement (Requirement Groups, Requirements, Dynamic Conditions, Course Share Sets, modules;
- troubleshooting technical behavior and performance issues in Advisement Report (CAAR) and Degree Planner and recommending solutions;
- providing technical guidance and support on effective transfer / test credit rule setup; developing queries and reports that support day-to-day operations of the unit, services offered to the campus on behalf of the unit, and overall quality assurance;
- developing business process guides (BPGs ), job aids, and other educational resources; researching new system functionality and testing PeopleSoft Campus Solutions maintenance packs and enhancements;
liaising with the Enrollment Systems team; and advising management on revisions to business practices and procedures that may better support programmatic and administrative goals of the unit.
Required Qualifications & Experience : Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and at least three years of progressively responsible experience in higher education involving the technical support of academic curriculum / requirements and the evaluation / application of transfer / test credit in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
Experience utilizing CollegeSource Transfer Evaluation System (TES) and . Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to interpret and apply academic policies.
Ability to independently prioritize and exercise sound judgement as well as take direction. Ability to organize and present ideas in a cohesive and professional manner, communicate clearly in written and verbal formats with various levels of staff, faculty, and administrative leadership, and maintain effective working relationships.
The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and / or ability in working in a multicultural / multiethnic environment.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU.

Desired Qualifications : In addition to the required qualifications, a desired applicant shall have experience using Structured Query Language (SQL) to develop queries, and experience in higher education involving the technical implementation of course scheduling, preferably in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions.
