Responsibilities :
The Director of Housing and Residence Life has oversight for all aspects of housing and residence life on the Macon campus (approximately 2,000 beds) and Atlanta campus (approximately 175 beds).
This position oversees a staff of associate and assistant directors, administrative support, area coordinators and residence directors on both campuses.
This position has direct oversight for staffing, strategizing, training, programming, operations, facility management, and budgeting.
This is a high-profile position that requires senior experience in leading a residence life team, and reports directly to the Vice President for Student Affairs to accomplish these initiatives.

Qualifications :
A master’s degree in Student Affairs / College Student Personnel Services, Higher Education, or other directly relevant degree is required along with seven years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified, which includes having previous supervision of professional and administrative staff. Doctorate preferred.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the university's carrier.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities :
Proven ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively within a University setting is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to function as a team player, a positive attitude, and a willingness to work nontraditional hours is required.
Computer competence is essential. Additionally, the ability to be creative and knowledgeable about best practices in the field.
Experience managing a budget and costs, and facility maintenance
Experience with contract review.
Excellent communication skills and experience with public speaking.
Experience with planning, promoting, and coordinating large-scale move-in events.
Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
Starting salary is $88,000 up to commensurate with experience.
