Payroll Supervisor
A payroll supervisor manages the daily operations of a payroll department, including :
- Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
- Compute wages and deductions, and enter data into employee accounts.
- Communicate with field support to gather pertinent data points to help ensure accurate billing.
- Review time sheets, wage computations, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
- Analyzes and reports weekly payroll department errors and helps resolve employee-related complaints.
- Perform weekly audits on payroll procedures.
- Keep informed on current wage and hour laws that apply to the payroll process.
- Guides, communicates and coordinates payroll policies, procedures, and standards to the payroll department.
- Compile statistical reports, statements, and summaries related to payroll, and submit them to appropriate departments.
- Monitor and report activities of personnel in the payroll department to management.
- Provides input to managers concerning potential enhancements to current payroll department practices; recommends new approaches and improvements in the efficiency of payroll department and services performed.
- Counsels and guides manager on appropriate performance management measures; assists the manager in writing corrective action memos and other documentation;
attends or conducts corrective action sessions as warranted; performs necessary follow-up.
- Provides payroll-related training and may act as a trainer for training development as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Bilingual in Spanish and English, able to communicate fluently in both languages.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of Payroll or Labor Law preferred
- Payroll and / or Human Resource experience in the Agricultural industry
- MS Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook) Education :
- High School required or Some College
