Key ResponsibilitiesComplete authorization initiation requests with payers for various service linesProvide necessary information regarding authorizations to appropriate staff and document all referral activityRespond to provider orders for tests and obtain authorizations while verifying patient demographic information and clinical dataRequired Qualifications, Training, and EducationHigh school diploma or GED is requiredMinimum of three years of experience in healthcare insurance and / or authorizationsCertification for CRCR required within one year of hireExperience in the assigned work area is requiredAdvanced abilities in the use of common office software are required
