We have an opportunity for a Warehouse Manager who will manage the team responsible for the receipt, warehousing, inventory, distribution and shipping of a wide variety of material / products.
The perfect candidate will have solid knowledge of, and experience with overseeing the shipping of items that will be required including interface with the Export / Import ITAR Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities :
- Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
- Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation;
enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions.
- Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Embraces and enforces high safety standards in area assigned.
- Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
- Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
- Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
- Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; managing work results.
- Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
- Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching and counseling employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications;
establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Education / Experience Required :
- BS / BA degree in a related field or a related discipline or equivalent experience with more progressively challenging work requirements.
- 5-7 years direct experience managing a warehouse function, preferably in a Government Contractor setting.
- Highly knowledgeable of the FAR / DFAR and ITAR.
- Experience successfully managing people to enable them to perform their assigned functions in a satisfactory manner
- Familiarity with current warehousing practices and methods as they pertain to a Government Contracting environment.
- Ability to successfully interact and support other organizations in the Company.
Knowledge / Skills Desired :
- Hands-on experience with warehouse management software and databases, Epicor a plus
- Solid decision making and problem-solving
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
