Senior Marketing Manager Growth And Expansion

As the Senior Marketing Manager of Growth and Expansion at CAVA, you will be a vital architect in advancing our mission and future-proofing the CAVA business by developing and spearheading strategic marketing initiatives that resonate with our core values.

We need someone with more spice and heart than our iconic Skhug sauce, because this role is not just about promoting the CAVA brand;

it's about fostering a connection with communities, inspiring a love for Mediterranean flavors, and contributing to a healthier, more inclusive world through the language of food.

This role will have a direct and measurable impact on KPIs (for example, growing YOY Harissa Avocado Bowls sold in a new market) as you lead efforts to launch new restaurants, enter untapped markets, and explore expanding business verticals.

Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will be at the forefront of ensuring successful restaurant launches and sustained growth.

What You’ll Do

Market Research, Entry Strategy, Localization

  • Conduct market research to identify new market opportunities and analyze market trends, consumer behavior and competition in expansion areas.
  • Complete competitive analysis for each market, identify competitive advantage opportunities and tactics.

Marketing Strategy and Toolkit

  • Develop comprehensive entry market strategy and toolkit with local brand positioning.
  • Develop marketing timelines and road maps tailored to local markets and new restaurants for pre, during, and post opening.
  • Identify target demographics and design integrated campaigns to engage demo target, build brand awareness and drive traffic.
  • Develop an integrated marketing toolkit for new restaurants and ongoing programming such as printed materials, ATL and BTL paid media, events, and partnerships.
  • Implement strategy to effectively communicate CAVA’s value proposition to the local audiences.

Partnership and Community Development

  • Develop a brand partnerships strategy for both national and local partnerships.
  • Identify and establish mutually beneficial partnerships with regional businesses, influencers, events and non-profits.
  • Develop Community Day Strategy and Tool-Kit.
  • Develop an evergreen, ongoing fundraiser program with integrated marketing materials and a cohesive customer experience for national launch.
  • Create events and partnerships budget, secure events and partnerships that are on-brand and develop integrated experiential activation.
  • Monitor performance of events, partnerships and fundraisers and share post-analysis reports.

Brand Ambassador Program

  • Develop Brand Ambassador Program as it relates to strategy, roles, responsibilities, marketing materials, merchandise and rewards.
  • Recruit and onboard CAVA campus ambassadors, monitor activities and execution.
  • Develop calendar of campus events, monitor performance, share post analysis.
  • Main contact and lead for all campus ambassadors.

The Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of marketing experience, preferably in restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field; Advanced degrees or certifications a plus.
  • Several years of experience in strategic marketing developing and implementing marketing strategies for business growth.
  • Proven track record in developing and managing national and local brand partnerships; experience in negotiating and establishing mutually beneficial partnerships with various entities.
