Aerial Utility Coordinator

Position Overview

POSITION LOCATION : Remote

What you’ll do :

Foster a high-performance safety culture through personal conduct, leading by example, and utilization of human performance principles.

Maintain customer and operating confidentiality.

Coordinate aerial operations across the FirstEnergy organization utilizing various mapping software and utility circuitry.

Utilize various mapping systems including Google Earth Pro and other software to monitor aerial activities required

Monitor daily activities and plan for deconfliction of all FirstEnergy aerial utility operations.

Communicate with various aerial suppliers, pilots, and FirstEnergy business organizations.

Work on call 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off.

Flexible schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call or after hours.

What you'll need :

Comprehensive understanding of the electrical grid.

Aviation experience preferred but not required.

Able to complete TSA background checks for appropriate airport access.

Strong communication skills and abilities to work within a team environment.

Be self-driven to independently manage assigned projects.

Ability to read mapping systems such as Google Earth Pro.

Flexible schedule with the ability to travel.

Demonstrated expertise in problem solving, meeting deadlines, and technical innovation.

Organizational skills; working knowledge of computers and programs, file creation, manipulation, and sharing.

High school diploma, Two (2) year degree in applied science, business or related discipline.

Two (2) year relevant work experience required.
