Summary :
The Compensation Analyst is responsible for analyzing, designing, and administering the organization's compensation programs.
This role involves benchmarking compensation against market data, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct market analysis to determine competitive compensation practices.
- Benchmark company compensation against industry standards using salary surveys and other data sources.
- Develop and maintain compensation structures, including salary ranges and pay grades.
- Evaluate and classify positions within the organization to ensure equitable pay.
- Create and update job descriptions and job classification systems.
- Assist in the development and implementation of compensation strategies and policies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to HR and management on compensation issues and trends.
- Participate in annual salary planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations.
- Prepare and submit required reports, such as EEO-1 and pay equity reports.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to compensation policies.
- Communicate compensation policies and procedures to employees and management.
- Conduct training sessions for HR staff and managers on compensation-related topics.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date compensation data in HR systems.
- Generate reports and analyze compensation data to support decision-making.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-4 years of experience in compensation analysis or a related HR function.
- Proficiency in compensation software and HRIS systems.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of compensation laws and regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation is a plus.
