The Department of Health andHuman Services (DHHS) requires the assistance of a contractresource to serve as a Salesforce Developer.
Theprimary purpose of this position is to design develop test anddeploy customized Child Welfare solutions within the Salesforceplatform.
The work involves collaborating with various stakeholdersto understand business requirements and translating them intoefficient and scalable technical solutions for the Child Welfareprogram.
The personin this position must have Salesforce ecosystem expertise. Theywill need to be able to customize and configure Salesforce to meetspecific business needs.
They will develop and maintain Apex codeVisualforce pages Lightning components andintegrations between the North CarolinaChild Welfare Technology System and stakeholder technologyplatforms.
The work involves collaboratingwith business analysts product managers product owners projectmanagers and endusers to gather and refine requirements.
Thisposition will design and implement scalable solutions that adhereto Salesforce best practices and coding standards. They willperform system testing debugging and deployment of applicationswithin the Salesforce environment.
The person in this position willalso create and maintain documentation related to the developmentand configuration activities.
Furthermore they will stay updated onSalesforce releases features and best practices to ensure optimalsystem performance and sustainability.
Responsibilities andDuties :
Providetechnical expertise by coding and developing solutions usingSalesforce technologies such as Apex Visualforce and Lightningcomponents.
Customize and configure Salesforce based onspecific business needs including creating and modifying objectsfields workflows and other platformfeatures.
Interfacewith internal and external technical support personnel.
Investigate researchand implement new technologies andinterfaces.
Work onintegrating Salesforce with other systems ensuring seamless dataflow and functionality across differentplatforms.
Performunit testing on developed solutions to identify and fix any issues.Collaborate with quality assurance teams whenapplicable.
Track andmanage development activities and workflows in Jira Scrum boardsand Kanban boards.
Conduct reviews / Joint Application Development(JAD) sessions with stakeholders that will result in completeunderstanding and documentation of the business and technicalrequirements.
Performimpact analysis of requirements on existing and proposed softwareapplications and information systems.
Create system designs and utilize existingdesign patterns that satisfy system needs that are sustainable nowand into the future.
Review and analyze user requests and otherinformation and design appropriate systems that align withstrategic direction.
Prepare all required effort documentation forreview by organizational unit management (and clients ifappropriate).
Prepare project plans that include resourcerequirement projections.
Troubleshoot code software applications anddata issues.
Addressany issues or bugs that arise utilizing debugging tools andtechniques to identify and resolve problems in the Salesforceenvironment.
Proactively monitor and support allproduction applications / information systems from both hardware andsoftware perspectives for both current efficiencies andimprovement.
Engagein discussions with business analysts endusers and other teammembers to clarify requirements address questions and ensurealignment between technical solutions and businessobjectives.
Facilitate / participate in technicalcommittees and governance meetings asrequired.
Writetechnical documentation and diagrams and as requested assist withtraining materials / user manuals.
Maintain documentation for ongoing andcompleted development tasks including code comments process flowdiagrams and configuration details.
Assure organizational unit and team standardsand procedures are applied to all work efforts by mentoring teammembers.
Enforcepeer review procedures where needed to meet expected qualitystandards.
Assurethat approved methodologies are used.
Conduct or participate in system design andsource code walkthroughs.
Ensure security measures are followed as datastewards in support of all applications and the Federal SCIO DHHSand DHHS IT privacy and security polices and standards are alwaysbeing enforced.
Review security scan results and remediatevulnerabilities in the specified timeframes.
Look foropportunities to optimize existing processes enhance systemperformance and suggest improvements to enhance the overallSalesforce environment.
