Role Overview :
As the Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs in a self-contained classroom.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with parents, caregivers, and staff to develop tailored educational strategies that meet each student’s unique challenges.
Additionally, participation in district-provided professional development sessions will be required.
This role requires strong collaboration with general education teachers, staff, and parents to ensure that students receive the appropriate accommodations and modifications necessary for their success.
Requirements
- Illinois teaching certification with LBS1 endorsement
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Ability to differentiate instruction and modify curriculum to meet individual student needs.
- Experience developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with diverse learning needs.
