Job Summary :
We are seeking a skilled and passionate part-time cook to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a timely and efficient manner.
This role requires attention to detail, consistency, and a dedication to creating an excellent dining experience for our guests.
We're looking for an enthusiastic cook whose responsibilities will include :
- Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menu specifications.
- Ensure all food is prepared safely and presented in an appealing manner.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area.
- Assist in ordering and stocking ingredients, ensuring proper storage and inventory management.
- Monitor food quality and portion control to minimize waste.
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including temperature controls and proper food handling procedures.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house to coordinate food orders and service timing.
- Assist with kitchen prep work, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and other tasks as needed.
- Follow instructions from the Manager to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Stay updated on food trends, new techniques, and kitchen best practices.
Qualifications :
- 2-3 years previous experience as a cook, line cook, or similar role is preferred.
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Flexibility in work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Attention to detail and a passion for cooking high-quality meals.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
