Description
This is a full-time internship position for our Fall / Spring Rotation, from September 23, 2024 through March 21, 2025 in Silicon Valley.
The intern will support BMW’s software development of Minimum Viable Products and collaborate with partner companies. He / She will assist a team focused on augmented reality and in-car vehicle systems, helping manage software through architecture, implementation, and debugging.
The primary focus will be prototyping AR experiences and integrating AR technologies into BMW premium cars. The intern will help define new AR applications and underlying architecture, contributing to future AR-based products at BMW.

- Collaborate with AR Team to develop interactive prototypes, attribute own ideas when it comes to user experiences and solutions for developing prototypes

The hourly rate for Undergraduate students is $32.50
The hourly rate for Graduate students is $40
The selected student's academic level will be used to determine the final pay rate. This statement is in accordance with state and local pay disclosure requirements.

Requirements :
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor or master’s degree program at an accredited college or university
- Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
- Have completed at least 30 college credit hours at time of application
- Field of study : Computer Science, Computer Engineering Human-Computer Interaction or a related field
- Must attach a copy of college unofficial transcript
- Ability to work full-time (36.25 hours / week)
- Prior BMW Group experience (applicable to international J1 students only)
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or Swift.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Self-motivated, adaptable to a dynamic environment
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
Preferences :
- Proficiency in a Linux environment and programming languages such as C or C++
- Advanced experience in Unity with C#
- Advanced experience in IOS development with Swift and SwiftUL
- Has deep user empathy with solid interaction, design experience, and keen eye to UI graphics
