Alcon is looking to hire a Strategic Project Manager for our Digital Health team. The ideal candidate will work hand in hand with our PMO & Strategy Director, to ensure the delivery of world-class digital health products.

Our Digital Health team is harnessing technology to build a leading portfolio of digital health solutions that will transform the eye care experience for medical professionals to patients and enable improved patient outcomes from a predictive healthcare delivery platform harnessing ML and analytics to innovative medical device software.
As a Strategic Project Manager , you will run the project management process which may include recruiting, training, coaching employees, communicating expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing contributions, and enforcing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage strategic projects (e.g., acquisitions) to ensure execution on time and within budget.
- Develop resource and sequencing plans to oversee strategic projects.
- Coordinate sub-projects / tasks among vendor and internal resources.
- Maintain and prioritize a list of issues affecting the project and pro-actively assure their resolution through appropriate parties (e.
g., Solution Architect, infrastructure architect, software / hardware vendor, System Integrator)
- Create project reporting (e.g., status updates,reviews) and deliver presentations indicating progress reports.
- Evaluate and create review documents for changes to project scope.
- Perform project risk assessment and assist in evaluating and identifying controls for the risks.
- Maintain and closely monitor the project risk management plan.

- Proficient in the governance framework and management skills for both projects and programs.
- Broad working knowledge of enterprise-level functional domains and product and platform operating models.
- Understands the relationship between the Digital Product Manager, Scrum Master, and rest of the team, with a strong sense of design thinking.
- Strong skills in financial management and budgeting, senior stakeholder management, as well as procurement and contract negotiations across the projects and programs
- Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate and optimize design based on the value to the user and the business, lead ideation sessions and workshops.
- Comfortable working with quick turnaround times and deadlines.
- Assertive, with the confidence to be voice of authority not afraid to do what is best for the team.
- High energy and passionate individual who inspires teammates to reach their maximum potential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team setting including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications.

Ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
Key Requirements / Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- 5+ years as a Project / Program Manager
- Experience managing large initiatives across cross-functional teams
- Working knowledge of enterprise architecture, application lifecycle management, and software development methodology
Experience working in SaaS or a fast-paced environment
