This is a Fulltime 40 hour a week onsite position.

The Human Resources Assistant performs administrative duties under direct supervision. This entry-level role involves regular contact with staff, applicants, and interns.

The HR Assistant will support various HR functions, including :

  • Assisting with basic benefit administration tasks
  • Helping maintain time-off records and absence management
  • Supporting record-keeping and file maintenance
  • Aiding in the coordination of recognition and wellness programs
  • Assisting with CME / educational program administration

The HR Assistant will help process unemployment and worker's compensation claims under supervision. They will also assist in preparing and processing personnel and / or payroll actions.

The role includes supporting the interviewing, on-boarding, and exiting processes for staff members.

This position requires a basic understanding of HR policies and procedures and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

The role primarily involves administrative and operational tasks with guidance from senior HR staff.

Educational Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field preferred
  • Coursework or training in human resources, benefits, or payroll administration is a plus

Experience Required :

  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably in a human resources setting
  • Basic knowledge of HR practices and procedures
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office / Outlook and familiarity with internet-based applications
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities :

  • Assist with administrative tasks related to HR operations
  • Support the maintenance of employee records and HR databases
  • Help coordinate new employee orientation and on-boarding processes
  • Assist in benefits administration and employee inquiries
  • Support payroll processing and time-off tracking
  • Aid in the preparation of HR reports and documentation
  • Assist with recruitment activities, including scheduling interviews and maintaining applicant records
  • Support HR initiatives and special projects as assigned
