Job Overview : A law firm in Wilmington, DE, is seeking a motivated Junior to Mid-Level Restructuring Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team.
The ideal candidate will have 3 years of experience in restructuring, representing companies, lenders, and creditors in complex financial reorganizations and debt restructuring matters.
Job Duties :
- Effectively communicate, verbally and in writing, with clients, lawyers, business professionals, and third parties.
- Produce high-quality legal documents and deliverables and respond promptly to client inquiries and correspondence.
- Adhere to firm policies and practices while maintaining ethical standards.
- Manage a diverse workload, meeting deadlines and client expectations efficiently.
- Build and maintain positive relationships within the firm and with external stakeholders.
- Engage in both physical and sedentary activities, including computer work, virtual meetings, and conference calls.
- Undertake legal research, analyze complex issues, and provide sound legal advice and strategy.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by senior attorneys and partners.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in Delaware.
- Minimum of 3 years of restructuring experience focusing on debtor-side representations.
- Previous experience at an AmLaw 100 law firm is preferred.
- Strong analytical, writing, and research skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including persuasive and influential abilities.
- Strong business judgment and problem-solving capabilities.
- Conceptual thinking and the ability to provide strategic legal advice.
- Management skills to handle responsibilities effectively and lead junior team members when necessary.
Certifications and Skills :
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools and software.
- Knowledge of bankruptcy and restructuring laws and procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
