Verstela is looking for talented, energetic and self-motivated employees with good communication skills for an Inspector position.
We are seeking a Construction Monitoring Inspector to join our dynamic, team-oriented office located in Zionsville, Indiana.
We are looking for someone with commercial construction knowledge who will bring energy and expertise to our operations.
Primary responsibilities include visiting approximately 50 job sites monthly (requiring 2-3 overnight trips per month), reviewing invoices from contractors, communicating with general contractors, and preparing monthly progress reports for our clients.
Some of our team’s former professions include general contractors, architects, geotechnical / environmental / construction engineers, estimators, and developers.
Responsibilities :
- Understanding and experience in commercial construction building.
- Understanding of General Contractor’s monthly pay application.
- Ability to evaluate construction progress based on the pay application and prepare
- a corresponding report following a template.
- Familiarity with various construction documents such as plans, AIA G702 / G703, Change
- Orders, and construction activity schedule.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Technical writing skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dedicated, well organized, and able to plan, prioritize, and manage multiple time
- sensitive tasks simultaneously.
- Detail oriented with the ability to focus on quality, accuracy, timeliness, and
- attention to detail.
- Excellent problem solving skills, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- A positive attitude with a desire to contribute ideas for improvement
Schedule : Monday Friday (8p to 5p)
