CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGER POSITIONHoltec International is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the construction of Spend Fuel Storage Systems at various Nuclear Power Plants across the United States.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : The Construction Project Manager reports to the Construction Program Manager and the Director of Construction.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following : Manage the construction workflow processActively engage the Holtec Construction Team, the client and all contractorsOversee all construction activities at the project work siteAssist Holtec Corporate Project Manager with task completion and purchase order managementClarify scope of work, and prepare cost estimates and proposals when necessaryEvaluate project for constructability and value-engineer cost savingsEstablish, monitor, communicate and maintain project schedules utilizing contemporary scheduling softwareNegotiate contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders to assure that all project goals are being addressedProactively identify issues that could lead to problems and facilitate solutionsDetermine and implement the appropriate level of project control (i.
e. : submittal logs, change order logs, etc.)Manage project costs to ensure budgets are maintained. Document and manage changes in the work to ensure the interests of all stakeholders in the project are reasonably metDocument activity conclusion;
manage the project closeout process to ensure timely completionQualifications / Requirements : B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred10+ years’ experience in the construction industry with a commercial and / or industrial general contractor engaged in general building constructionDemonstrated experience estimating and managing self-performed work activities and subcontracted workStrong written / verbal communication skillsA working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical workHigh level of proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industryCurrent safety credentials to include OSHA 30, 1st Aid and CPRNuclear Power Plant experience preferred but not requiredPowered by JazzHR
