Job Description :
Position Purpose : Reporting to the Dean of Allied Health & Nursing, the instructor is responsible to apply their expertise to develop and deliver courses / programs so that students learn and reach their academic goals.
The instructor actively participates in departmental meetings and activities, in student recruitment for their courses / program, and in support of the general development of students and the college.
Responsibilities :
- Teach radiologic technology and related courses
- Developing curriculum, revising teaching materials, and developing student learning outcomes
- Participate in college initiatives through committee work and interdepartmental collaboration
- Complete assessment activities at the instructor, course, department, and institutional level
Required Qualifications :
Minimum Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree
Occupational Experience Requirement :
Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a registered technologist
Recency Requirement :
One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field.
The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years
Professional Requirement :
Certified as a Registered Technologist (RT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)
Preferred Qualifications :
- Experience teaching
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Flexibility to teach daytime, evening, weekend, online, or off-campus sections
