Summary : Seeking a Quality Engineer III to manage supplier quality / inspection systems, ensure compliance with quality standards, and drive corrective action processes.
Requirements :
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, aviation sciences, quality systems, or a related field or equivalent combination of education.
4 years technical related experience in a manufacturing environment or repair and overhaul facility.
Understanding of blueprints / specifications, Federal Aviation Regulations, and Quality Control System Requirements.
Experience in Supplier Quality capacity highly desirable.
Advanced knowledge of Lean / Six Sigma principles (certification preferred).
Working knowledge of APQP principles.
Preferred Skills :
ASQ certification (CQE) and / or experience as an FAA recognized designee.
An Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License may be considered in lieu of degree requirement if combined with four years of related experience.
Responsibilities :
Perform tasks to support the supplier quality / inspection system promptly.
Ensure delivered articles are manufactured per approved quality system requirements.
Manage supplier performance compliance through audits according to company policy and federal regulations.
Certify suppliers or assess their quality systems, personnel, processes, and equipment as required.
Coordinate quality assurance program plans and modify audit schedules as needed.
Drive the Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) process for all suppliers.
Develop key metrics to depict supplier health from a risk and performance perspective.
Lead quality focus meetings to address supplier performance and communicate progress to senior leadership.
Pay Details : $35.00 to $43.00 per hour
