Accounts Payable Associate

PROMAN Staffing has partnered with a well-known Company in Owensboro, KY. We are now hiring for an Accounting Assistant who is a team player, versatile, and dependable! This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for detail-oriented work.

Could be a permanent position for the right person! Job Summary

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Conduct account analysis and reconciliations to ensure accuracy
• Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end closing process
• Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
• Processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Previous accounts payable experience is a must
• Previous Purchasing is required
• Superb time management skills and detail orientation
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of company and partner information
• Must have a clean background and be able to pass a drug screen
