Payroll Specialist

Overview :

Our client, a provider of Health, Dental, Vision, Medicaid, and Medicare Healthcare service plans in the state of California with 4.

7 million members and $22.9 billion of annual revenues, seeks an accomplished Payroll Specialist.

Candidate must be authorized to work in the USA without requiring sponsorship

Location : Oakland, CA

Duration : 3+ months

Shift Timings : 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Responsibilities :

• Manual check / termination check processing.
• Review of daily term reporting and updating.
• Garnishment processing.
• Retro pay processing.
• Leave of Absence calculation and payments.
• Benefit adjustment and arrears processing.
• Work Service Marketplace Cases, entering historical adjustments.
• Support on end-to-end cycle processes.
• Post-cycle audit.
• Additional Tasks as assigned.

Required Skills (top 3 non-negotiables) :

• Requires at least 5 years of relevant experience - preferably Payroll.
• Compliance with knowledge of tax regulations and legal requirements.
• Great communication skills, attention to detail, and being able to multitask.

Preferred Skills (nice to have)

• UltiPro, Oracle, and Service Now experience.
• Multi-state experience.
• Great customer service and support skills.

Education Requirements : Requires broad knowledge of operational systems and practices typically gained through extensive experience and / or education.
