The Colorado Springs Purchasing Team at David Weekley Homes is looking for an experienced Estimator who will share their knowledge and learn new skills in a fun, intense and challenging environment.
While experience is appreciated, the ability to learn and apply new systems is equally important if not more so.

Job Responsibilities Include :
- Develop and maintain accurate plan budgets, analyze reports related to estimating activities, and track status of assigned projects.
- Manage all aspects of the bid coordination process, including blueprint validation, bid request preparation, research and cost comparison reporting.
- Maintain master job cost files and convert material lists and cost estimates to database.
- Coordinate the flow of information among suppliers, vendors, purchasing staff, builders & DWH computer systems.
- Generate price pro-forma and other financial reporting for all communities.
- Field visits for takeoff validations
- Interact directly with builders, internal sales personnel, and suppliers
- Provide generalized service support for internal customers.
You need to have or know :
- Experience in Estimating or knowledge of construction and understanding blueprints is required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel preferred
- Solid mathematical and analytical skills
- Strong organization and communication skills
- Ability to work independently for long periods while supporting and contributing to your team
- Initiative to drive required activities to completion in a timely manner
- JD Edwards or other database system knowledge is a plus
- Autodesk Design Review and estimating software experience is a plus

Pay Range : $70,000-90,000 plus bonus incentives
